| Rachel's approach to massage has its foundation in Connective Tissue Therapy (similar to Rolfing), and she creates a customized massage with special emphasis on supporting the body in its own natural healing process. Her technique includes a blend of Swedish, Deep (Connective) Tissue Therapy, and Myofascial Release therapies. Rachel may also integrate the principals of Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Cranial Sacral work into her sessions. Her professional background as a bodyworker includes the full range of traditional massage spa treatments, in addition to her experience providing ongoing treatment to infirmed patients living in assisted care. She is an avid believer in the mind-body connection, and in the benefits of massage and other forms of bodywork such as yoga and acupuncture, to support balance, health and general well-being. |
